WOODEN BUTTONS

Here are three wooden sew through type buttons. They have three circles making them spiral like. They were given to me in a Xmas present. They would be perfect for a natural fabric or hand spun and knitted garment.

METAL PICTURE BUTTON

This metal picture button features a brass head with long hair and a type of helmet. Maybe it is Roman! It has a decorative brass border.

WOODEN BUTTON

Here is a pressed and painted wooden button in navy with blue, green and red trim. It is just over 1 1/2cm in diameter and is a sew through type.

BLAZER BUTTONS

Here is a box holding my Blazer buttons. A lot of them are metalized plastic ( some metal) and feature various pictures of yachts, castles, shields, crowns, horses and the like. Some are silver and some gold and they come in various sizes.

METAL PICTURE BUTTON

Here is a button of pressed metal depicting a cornucopia with flowers flowing out. I do not understand the relevance of the small cut out star in the centre. It measures just over 3 1/2cm.

PLASTIC BUTTONS

These two red plastic buttons have a geometric design cut into them They were given to me by a lady who let me go through her button jar recently. They are sew through type.

WOODEN BUTTONS

Here are two domed wooden buttons with symbols on them like noughts and crosses grid. They have a plastic shank embedded in the back. I got them in my Xmas present from my friend Suzanne.

METALIZED PLASTIC BUTTONS

These three buttons are of the same design but are different colours and sizes. They feature a man (warrior like) on a horse and probably are blazer buttons. They are modern and have a self shank.

HO! HO! HO! IT’S CHRISTMAS

Another year has gone by so quickly. I hope it has been good for everyone and that we all have a Happy Christmas with family and friends. May the new year bring good health and much happiness. If we have good health then we are blessed. I show a Christmas button which is modern, sew through type and made of resin. It is nice and bright for the festive season.

METAL PICTURE BUTTON

Here is a tin button with a plain border encircling a pretty brass flower design which stands out nicely. It would have been really lovely in its original condition although I still feel these buttons have a certain charm with their wear over time.
