BUTTON CARDS

This group of four Confetti button cards were bought in 2016 and were made in Thailand. They are very bright and colourful with geometric patterns. They were also produced for Blumenthal Lansing Co. of USA which has been operating since the late 1800’s.

BUTTON CARDS

These metal buttons are all made in Italy for La Mode brand. I bought the realistic flower buttons in 2014 and they are very good quality. The other card I bought in 2017 and they are a lovely design divided into four sections with a flower in each.

MODERN BUTTONS

These two buttons are of the same design but with different background colours. I think the design has been etched into them by laser and coloured black. They come from 2009 and are quite showy.

BUTTON CARDS

These buttons are made under the brand La Mode. The large fabric covered one was made in China. It has a simple but striking pattern in black, grey , white and yellow. The gold one which resembles a black glass button with a gold lustre was made in Italy. It is metalized plastic and is a good example of how plastic can replicate other materials. They are modern buttons.

PLASTIC BUTTONS

These are Latest Style buttons on their original card and were made in USA. They are of white plastic and of an open floral design and were bought in USA in 2012 for me by my friend Olwyn.

FABRIC BUTTONS

Here are another two fabric buttons sold under the brand of Fabric Sensations. They were also made in China in 2014. They are bright orange with a floral design in red, blue and yellow and are sew through type with two holes with metal eyelets. They are rather jazzy I think.

FABRIC BUTTONS

Here are two fabric covered buttons on their original card from 2014. They are very colourful and have a flower like design. They were made in China for Blumenthal Lansing Co. in USA and are sold under the brand Fabric Sensations.

IN THE GARDEN

Here is another diversion from buttons !

It is always nice to spend some time in the garden. I only have a small courtyard but over the years have had some nice plants there. Here are just a few snippets of my garden.

DRAWING JOURNAL

How about a change from buttons!

I like to sketch and always have a drawing journal on the go. Pictured are three sketches from my current book. They are copies from unknown artists and not my original work however I enjoyed doing them. I just finished the red flowers this morning.

FABRIC BUTTONS

Here are twelve buttons made from cream thread which has been wound over a mould and then some grey thread stitched in a star shape. They were made in Germany. They are a little dirty but are quite old.
