This button has a disc of black glass with a floral design impressed into it and gold lustre added. It has been set into a floral border of white metal and is quite different.
GLASS AND BRASS BUTTON
This button has a disc of white glass set into a brass cup.
The glass has a textured surface ( there is a name for this type of which I do not know ) and flowers painted on it which are a little worn. It resembles Petit Point stitchery ) It is really pretty anyway. It measures a little over 2 cm.
GLASS AND METAL
This little button is glass with a floral pattern set in gilt. It is backmarked Sword Make, British Make and has a rather long shank. At about 13 mm it is quite small.
GLASS AND METAL BUTTON
Being just under 3 cm this button has a lovely etched brass border.
A small white glass plaque featuring a flower has been inset in the centre. It has a tin back and brass loop shank.
METAL AND GLASS BUTTON
Here we have a brass button with some areas painted purple.
It has a black glass centre which contrasts nicely. The brass left showing really adds to the design. It has a metal loop shank and is just over 2 1/2cm in diameter. A smart button I think.
GLASS AND METAL
The centre of this button is black glass with a gold lustre. It has been set into brass and has a metal loop shank.
GLASS AND METAL BUTTON
This blue glass button is large being 3 1/2cm in diameter. The white metal floral border is very decorative, offsetting the plain glass nicely.
GLASS AND METAL BUTTONS
The unusual shape of these buttons makes them very appealing. The glass is a beautiful purple/cyclamen colour which blends them nicely with the brass setting. The group picture is the truest colour.
