Here are three Lithograph Men’s Waistcoat buttons featuring ladies in large hats. They are probably part of a set of six which was common in the late 1890s – 1900s. They are set in a gold cup with loop shank. I think that it is a strange subject for men’s clothing.
LITHOGRAPH BUTTONS
Here is a lovely group of Lithograph portrait buttons in various sizes. The largest one measures 3 1/2 cm while the tiny ones are under 1 1/2 cm. The one with the open work metal border has a lady; the others show a man. The colours are very delicate and pleasing.
LITHOGRAPH BUTTON
I like this button of a dog and it’s colours. It is a little damaged but I got it cheap so was pleased to have it as I didn’t have any Lithographs at the time. I do not know if it originally had a clear celluloid over it or not. It measures just over 3 cm.
LITHOGRAPH BUTTON
This button is a little under 4 cm so quite large. I do not know who the person is but he looks rather scholarly. It has a brass rim and tin back with loop shank.

MEN’S WAISTCOAT BUTTONS :
These small buttons show ladies faces and would be actresses of the time. They come from the late 1890’s or early 1900’s period and were a popular type of button. Similar types of buttons had sporting subjects or dogs on them. They have a metal loop shank and were attached with a metal slip pin.
