Here is a group of Paste buttons which were bought new in China in 2013 by a friend of mine.  Some are clear glass and others combine red glass as well.

Here are two groups of Paste buttons with various shapes and sizes.  One button incorporates pearls as well as the glass.  Some are set in gold  and some in silver metal.

Here are two different paste buttons, one having clear glass set in white metal in a star shape.  The other has clear and blue glass and has been claw set.

Here are two sparkly buttons made of filigree white metal with a large clear paste centre.

They have a metal loop shank and are a little over 2 cm.

The first button is of white metal with seven purple paste stones glued into a diamond pattern and is rather smart.

The second one has a large paste stone set in the middle being surrounded by many small pink stones.  They are both quite glitzy and would really show up in the evening light.

We have two ball shaped buttons here claw set with glass (also known as paste)  They have a brass loop shank and are reasonably large.

These buttons and buckles are made of small facetted pieces of glass set into gold or silver coloured metal.A lot of the older ones are claw set while the newer ones are glued in.They are very sparkly and would be really showy on evening wear especially when under lights.
