I think this button may be made from Casein. It caught my eye and I feel it is cute, the white rabbit showing up nicely on the black background. It looks better in reality.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
These plain coloured buttons are Chef’s buttons. They are detachable from the Chef’s white shirt and certainly are not at all decorative, purely functional. I think the different colours denotes the different stages of a Chef’s working life but am not sure.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
These buttons are sorted into colour schemes and are mainly “oldish” plastic buttons gathered over the years. They are not important enough to mount on cards but all fit into a fashion era of some time. I just keep them in bottles.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
Three more pressed plastic buttons are shown here. They have been painted, two featuring a basket of flowers while the middle one is a realistic pot of flowers. They are from the 1930’s – 40’s period.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
Here are three old plastic buttons in a lovely pale green colour.
They are a domed shape with a design featuring lines and a circle of holes.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
Here are six cream coloured pressed plastic buttons from the 1930’s.
They each have a different design pressed into them and are nice in their individual way. All the different designs intrigue me.
PLASTIC BUTTONS AND BUCKLE
This card shows some pressed plastic buttons in a mauvy/pink colour which was popular in the 1930’s – 40’s.
There is also a buckle in a matching colour. Many of this type of button were made in various colours (usually subtle) during that period.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
Here we have two groups of old plastic buttons. They are all of a domed shape, the first group being plain. The second group have patterns on them. They are a variety of sizes.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
These two buttons are modern and were also in my parcel from England. They have a flower shaped escutcheon in the middle and measure 2 1/2cm.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
These two buttons are new to my collection having come from an opp shop in England recently.
The red and cream one has been layered and cut away giving a great effect. It is a sew through type. (I think it may be from Casein) The cream one is a different design completely and has a self shank.
