This group of buttons are a pearlized glass in a pretty aqua colour. I got them a few days ago at a market in Yarragon in Gippsland.
I think the design of this button is rather pretty. It is Metalized plastic and probably comes from the 1980’s – 90’s.
This Bakelite button has some carving in various patterns. The metal escutcheon is a type of Fleur de lys shape with an intricate filigree fill in. It measures 4 cm.
My computer has just overnight changed it’s system of doing a post and now I do not know how to do one!!!!! I love it when it does things like that !! I will now have to play until I can work it out so things will be a bit quiet for a while. I am not a computer whizz so it may take a while as I have nobody to help. Patience is a virtue!!
These three buttons were in a container of buttons I acquired recently. They are a nice teal blue and measure approx. 3 1/2cm. I like the colours and designs of the 1930’s plastic buttons.
These gold buttons are glitzy and have many different designs. I think they come from the 1970’s and 80’s. I have these ones sewn on a banner but have many more in a box.
Here is a group of Paste buttons which were bought new in China in 2013 by a friend of mine. Some are clear glass and others combine red glass as well.
These glass beads were made by a lady at the bead shop at the Bendigo Pottery Complex. I enjoy watching her at work making all sorts of small glass items.
