This is a tinted and carved button made from bone. It has a rustic look about it and was made in Nepal. It is modern and measures 3 1/2cm.
Here are two different Celluloid buttons, one being a maroon colour. The other one is dark brown with a painted decoration in red with a touch of yellow. It is quite showy.
This black glass button is just over 1 1/2cm in diameter. It is decorated with a dotty pattern in silver lustre and has a self shank.
These three buttons are made from Pearlized plastic and are quite flimsy. They are in a type of scrolly cut out pattern. I can see them on a hand knitted pastel coloured cardigan. Maybe from the 1950’s?
