This painted brass button has an Art Nouveau flavour about it. There are three painted bell like flowers and the pierced work shows daisy flowers. It is in fairly good condition and measures 2 1/2 cm.
REPRODUCTION BUTTONS

Here are three white metal buttons which I purchased in 2010. They were made in Italy and France and are reproductions of buttons made in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. They are three very different designs each lovely in their own way. They each have a metal loop shank.
ENAMEL BUTTON

Here is a nice square enamel button with black and white enamel. There is a pretty pink flower on the white background. The contrast of the black and white is quite dramatic.
NOVELTY BUTTONS
These novelty Plastic buttons are colourful and just a bit of fun. They are two toned apart from the white one and make quite a nice show.
MOSAIC BUTTON
Here is a Micro Mosaic button. It is very colourful and has a floral design. It amazes me how they make these buttons with such tiny pieces of glass. They are very effective.
CERAMIC BUTTONS
These Ceramic buttons are by Incomparable Buttons from South Africa. They are made by the village ladies and the money from proceeds goes back to the village which is very good. They are always mounted on corrugated cardboard which compliments the hand made buttons. These two are quite large and rather unique.
PLASTIC BUTTON

Here is a modern plastic button with an ” eye like ” pattern in the centre. It is a sew through type and measures 3 1/4cm so is quite large. It would be used on an overcoat I presume.
CERAMIC BUTTONS
These four buttons are handmade Ceramic and really do have a rustic handmade look about them They have even been sewn onto the card with homespun wool which gives a good effect. I don’t know who they were made by and got them at an opp shop.
BLACK GLASS BUTTONS
Here are two black glass buttons. One has a flower in the centre with silver lustre. The other has a scrolly pattern. I don’t seem to be able to get a good photo of black glass which is a pity as there are some very lovely buttons. They always seem to be blurry.
PLASTIC BUTTONS
Here are three Plastic ( I believe they are Casein ) buttons in red and white. They all have a geometric design and are rather jazzy. I think they are from the 1940’s.
