Here are three porcelain buttons featuring Beatrix Potter storybook characters. She wrote delightful children’s books and did all the illustrations as well. The buttons are quaint and in delicate colours just as her illustrations were done.
Here are four small Czechoslovakian glass buttons. They are bright yellow with red, blue and green paint design. They have a self shank and measure just 1 cm.
This wooden button has been painted orange with yellow and blue flowers. The paintwork is a little worn and it is a sew through type.
This wooden button is painted a red/brown colour and has an abstract design of various coloured lines crossing it at different angles. It is a sew through type and measures 3 1/2 cm.
Here is a large Ceramic button featuring a realistic rose in the centre. It is black with a gold metallic glaze making it quite showy. I guess it would have been used on an overcoat.
This brass and tin button depicts three birds, one in flight and two sitting on a branch. It is quite a pretty design and although it shows sign of wear it is still a nice button. It has a Japanned back and metal loop shank.
