METAL PICTURE BUTTON

Here is a brass picture button showing an Oriental lady in a kimono and holding a fan. There is a cherry blossom tree to the left and some Japanese characters to the right. It is mounted on an orange plastic disc and that is how I bought it; it shows the button up nicely. The button measures 3 1/2 cm. I wonder if it might represent a character from The Mikado?

BAKELITE BUTTON

Here is an inlaid Bakelite button which has been carved with a geometric pattern. As is common with many Bakelite buttons it is rather chunky and would have been suitable for an overcoat button. It has a metal loop shank and measures 3 1/2 cm.

ART DECO BUTTONS

Here are two Art Deco buttons both with a metal trim. One is fawn with a blue plastic and metal inlay and the other has a metal Z like shape on top. They have straight lines which are typical of this period.
