Hi Carol, I am still here!! Have been otherwise occupied. This is a cut steel button with a matte black background. The rim is of a shiny white metal with a few lines across it. It measures a little over 2 1/2 cm and has a metal loop shank.

Here is an open worked brass button with black enamel on the border and in the centre. It is domed with a metal loop shank and measures 3 cm. I don’t really know what type of garment it would suit.
