Here is an inlaid Bakelite button which has been carved with a geometric pattern. As is common with many Bakelite buttons it is rather chunky and would have been suitable for an overcoat button. It has a metal loop shank and measures 3 1/2 cm.

Here are two Art Deco buttons both with a metal trim. One is fawn with a blue plastic and metal inlay and the other has a metal Z like shape on top. They have straight lines which are typical of this period.

These are the last of my new Incomparable buttons. Both of these pairs are nondescript but the colours and glazes are vibrant. The blue is a beautiful colour and the pink ones are my least favourite as I am not a lover of pink. The quality of these buttons is wonderful. I hope the proceeds of these buttons help the village ladies in South Africa who make them.

Two more pairs of Incomparable buttons which are new to my collection. One pair shows three white flowers in amongst some splodges of bright blue and green. It is very effective. The others depict some blue and pink flowers in a blue vase. They too are very showy and modern.

Here are two more Incomparable button cards from South Africa. The buttons are nicely made and the designs are quite striking. One shows purple flowers and black leaves in an abstract way. The others are just splodges of brown, mustard and white but I find them very effective.

Here are two pairs of Ceramic buttons handmade in South Africa by the village ladies for Incomparable Buttons. They are of the same design but in different colours. At 3 1/2cm they are quite large.

Here is a Ceramic button with a scalloped edge. It has a green base with a copper glaze over the top. It is a sew through type and having three holes makes it a little different. It is quite effective.

Here is a blonde horn button which is quite thin. It has a white metal escutcheon in a scrolly pattern sort of in the Art Nouveau style. It measures 3 cm.

This is rather a chunky button made of mottled light brown plastic. It has a centre of wound fawn cord resembling a rose with a metal surround. It has a metal loop shank and measures 2 3/4 cm.

Here are two complimentary celluloid buttons in a grey shade. One has a square brass disc with a flower in the centre. The other one has nine tiny brass squares with a star design. They measure 2 1/2 cm.
