METAL BUTTONS

These two brass buttons are a little over 2 cm.  One is a basketweave type of pattern and the other a swirly pattern resembling fabric.  They both have a metal loop shank.

METAL PICTURE BUTTON

This button shows a man with long flowing hair probably from the 1800’s.  He wears a very large hat and appears to be dressed up to the nines.

It is a silver button with a loop shank and measures 2  1/2  cm.

METAL BUTTONS

Here we have three different white metal Scottish Piper’s buttons.

They make me think of when I was young and used to watch the Highland dancers and piper at the Shepparton Show.  I used to admire them in their Scottish costumes and think how clever they were.

METAL BUTTON

This button is made of a white metal and is quite modern.  It has an arty/crafty look about it.  The pearlized plastic centre goes through to the back forming a shank.  It measures 3  1/2  cm.

METAL BUTTONS

These two brass buttons are similar in size at just under 2  1/2  cm.

They are both lovely swirly designs.  One is a more domed shape and the other has a white metal liner showing through the cut out border.

METAL BUTTONS

These two buttons measure 3  1/2cm so are quite large.  I think that they are both made of tin.

Their designs are so different; one being scrolly, the other having lines radiating out from the centre circle.  They both have a tin back but the shanks are different.
