This is a modern plastic button measuring 3 cm. It has a flower design rising out of an embedded shape and has a self shank. I do not know it’s age but it was an opp shop find from a few years ago.

Here are seven small black glass buttons with a silver lustre. They sort of replicate cut steel buttons and have a self shank. They are new to my collection having been bought in Gippsland while on holidays.

This is a modern button in a dark brown colour. It is a rather nice button with a wide panel through the middle which is moulded in a leaf like pattern. It does not show off to it’s best advantage in the photo but is quite effective.

Here is a plastic button with an overall black colour. It is broken up with little odd shapes of yellow and orange randomly scattered around. It has a brass loop shank.

Here are eight rather nice buttons in a mustard coloured plastic with a white metal central disc featuring a flower design. The loop shank is also of white metal. They measure just on 1 1/2 cm. I got them in Yarragon recently.

Here are three simply designed but rather nice buttons in beige, cream and orange colours with a hexagon design. I do not know their age but guess that they are modern. They are new to my collection.

These two plastic buttons in a bright purple colour are realistic flowers. They were produced by La Mode buttons and made in China. I found them in an opp shop recently so they are new to my collection.

I bought these amber coloured perspex buttons in a market in Yarragon in Gippsland recently. They have gold wire coiled around in the centre. They are quite a common design of the time (post WW2) and were made in several colours.

These two buttons are quite showy with their black and silver. The silver is metalized plastic with a clear plastic “gemstone” in the centre. It is set off by the black plastic surround. They measure 3 cm.

Here is an original Beutron button card with three beaut red tartan buttons. They are a plastic of some sort and have a plastic shank. I think tartan material is embedded in them as you can see the weave of it. I was pleased to find them recently at a market in Yaragon, Gippsland.
