These four buttons were made in Denmark. They are made of Liberty fabric coated with a tough resilliant resin giving them a really glossy look. They have a tin back and a brass loop shank and would grace a garment in a matching plain fabric.
This is an original button card made in U.S.A. featuring six small pearl buttons. It is in very good order. I love the art work of these older cards and think they are appealing.
These three buttons are identical in design but with three different colours. The cream celluloid background is a good stark contrast to the orange, yellow and green. The green one is smaller than the other two. They have a tin back.
This is a nice metal button depicting a flower ( I think a chrysanthemum ) It has a white metal outer rim with a decorative brass leaf patterned border which finishes it off nicely.
This button is a little different being diamond shaped with various angles. The top most part is cut away revealing the cream colour underneath. It has a brass loop shank.
Here is a maroon glass button with a design typical of the 1920’s – 30’s period. Geometric and linear patterns were popular during this era. This button has a self shank and measures 2 cm.
These beautiful white metal buttons are in the Art Nouveau style with a design made up of daisies. I think they are really pretty. They are sew through type and measure 2 1/4cm.
This glass button is effective with the two embossed leaves done in gold lustre. The colour is a mottley brown and yellow which is more noticeable on the back. It has a self shank.
This is a card of hand made porcelain buttons in lovely blues and lilac shades. I bought them at the recent Buttonfest in Melbourne. The colours appealed to me. The two smaller ones remind me of pansies!
Here are three rather nice pearly plastic buttons with a teally green central disc picturing a crane in a bronze metallic colour. They are quite unique and I guess they may be from the 1950’s. They measure just over 2 1/2 cm.
