These buttons were made for JHB International in 1998.
They are painted wood realistic images of “Snap”, “Crackle” and “Pop” who were pictured on Kellogg’s Rice Bubbles cereal packets. You could hear the bubbles snap, crackle and pop when you poured on the milk. It was a good advertising theme. They have a backmark TM and a clear plastic shank glued on.

This sterling silver button with Tigers Eye stones for the eyes was designed by Sonia and has just been made this year (2018)
It is 2 cm in diameter, has a loop shank and is backmarked. There was a limited edition of fifty of these buttons made.
There was quite a fad for these buttons for a short while in the late 1980’s. These have a black background but my friend Sandra has some other coloured ones too.
They are three piece buttons of a metal base with a glass or clear plastic cover. A variety of tiny objects were encased inside. I can’t quite imagine what type of garment would warrant these buttons.
This Satsuma porcelain button is very colourful and features a male figure.
I do not know who he represents but he seems a bit comical to me. There is a nice lot of gold work on it too. At just under 3 cm it is a nice size.
These are modern Plastic (of some sort) buttons with fun subject matter. They are very colourful and take your eye. I bought them new several years ago.
We have two groups of hat buttons, the green Tyrolean hats are jazzy with their red feather. They have a brass loop shank.
The bonnets with ribbon around are colourful and have a self shank.
Here is another beautiful Satsuma porcelain button.
I am very fond of them, especially those with figures painted on them. It is a little bit different having the figure by a window. It measures just over 2 cm.
This is a limited edition button made by Battersea Ltd. in 1978.
It is made from Pewter with a matte finish and features a tower, churches with steeples, bushes and trees. This is done in very fine detail.
The button is 3 1/2 cm in diameter so quite large and has a loop shank.
The first button has some simple lines carved in it and four cut steels added. I do not know how old it is and it appears hand made to me.
The second one is triangular in shape with a carved design. It is a sew through type and just a little bit different.
Art Nouveau is the style of this button.
It has a floral theme with lovely etched leaves and a flower suggested with three cut steels. Some paint has been added to give a little colour. It has a great cut out design showing all the flowing curved lines beautifully and is 3 cm in diameter.
