Here is a lovely group of Celluloid buttons of all shapes, sizes and colours. Quite often Celluloid buttons are of a sombre tone but these are quite colourful and cheery. What a nice picture they make.

This is a Celluloid Wafer button of a most unusual colour combination of an apricot, grey and black which is rather appealing. It is a sew through type and quite large.

Here is another lovely group of enamel buttons belonging to my friend Carol. She has a wonderful button collection. These are many and varied in colour and design. Florals are always popular in enamelled buttons. The colours are so rich.

This old Mother of Pearl button was painted by my friend Di and put in my Xmas parcel. What a lovely surprise!

Aren’t the colours in these glass paperweight buttons so cheery! They belong to my friend Carol and she kindly allowed me to post them. I love glass and have watched glass beads being made at The Bendigo Pottery which is the same principle as buttons. It is fascinating.

Here is a group of lovely enamel buttons belonging to a button friend. They all differ especially the three ball shaped ones with the tiny pink flower in the centre. The brass one with the blue and white enamel and flowers is a more traditional type.

This button has a carved Mother of Pearl disc set into metal. It has a very decorative brass border, brass back with a loop shank and measures 3 cm.

These two enamelled buttons are a bit different, both having half enamel and half pierced metal trimmed with cut steels. They both have a metal loop shank and measure 2 1/4 cm.

This green glass button is rather pretty with three sides angled off to make a triangle in the centre. It has been enamelled in white with a sprig of pink flowers on each section. It has a brass loop shank.

I find this Celluloid button rather striking with it’s geometric pattern in various browns, rusts, black and gold. It looks better in reality. It measures just over 3 1/2 cm.
