Here is a modern bone button probably made in Nepal. It is an oval shape and has been dyed brown. It is delicately trimmed with an embossed brass floral band with brass dots on either side and has a brass loop shank.
CASEIN BUTTON
Here is a log shaped Casein button with a cut away geometric design leaving a cream colour which I think has discoloured with age. The ends are shaped at an angle.
FABRIC BUTTONS
Here are two fabric buttons. One is of green woollen fabric with a pressed brass centre in a floral design. The other one is quite different being of red woollen fabric with a centrepiece of cream lace. They both have a tin back with a pad shank and measure just under 2 1/2 cm.
MODERN BUTTON
This is a showy button made of a gold metal which has an acrylic flower like pattern in a mustard colour embedded on the top. The back is tin with a loop shank and measures 2 1/2 cm.
FABRIC BUTTON

Here is an old black fabric button with a star shaped pattern worked into it. It is possibly from an early dinner jacket or tuxedo. I am not sure but it is nicely made.
CASEIN BUTTON
This is an unusual Casein button being ball shaped with a star shape cut away design. It is a brilliant red colour which contrasts nicely with the cream.
PLASTIC BUTTON
Here is a brown plastic concave shaped button. The front is mottled brown offset with a fine embossed brass rim. The back is a plain lighter brown. It is a sew through type.
METAL BUTTON
Here is a modern highly domed white metal button. The centre shows three flowers and leaves. Around the border is a circlet of roses and leaves. Because of it’s depth it has a long shank.
PLASTIC AND METAL BUTTON
This is an effective button with “pleated” brown plastic around the outside. The centrepiece is of white metal and has a flower like pattern and a scalloped border pressed into it. It measures 3 1/4 cm.
GLASS BUTTONS

Here are two moulded clear glass buttons with a basket weave pattern on them. They have a self shank and measure a little under 2 cm.
