This black buckle is of pressed plastic with a floral design around the edge. It is quite decorative and would make a nice addition to a dress belt.

This opp shop find is modern with a scribbled line on a plain back of white metal. It is quite artistic in it’s way.

These four plastic tubular shaped buttons are just a bit different with the metalized plastic decorative trim and attached shank. They are just over 1 1/2cm in length.

To me there is something fascinating about old wooden cotton reels. I think it is the labelling and advertising. I have a small drawer full in a cabinet of sewing items.

This colourful box was made in USA by Belding Hemingway and contains darning silks for mending stockings in the early 1900’s. How things have changed!!

This brass buckle has been enamelled in black which is a nice contrast. There is a decorative pattern in gold on the enamel. It is quite striking and has a nice shape and would look beautiful on the appropriate dress.

Here is another Cut Steel button with an open work border. It has one cut steel centred in an acanthus shaped design in the middle.

For a Gay Nineties button this one is a little sombre and plain. The stone is a marbled grey/green and the brass surround is embossed with a type of heart pattern. It has a metal loop shank.

Here is another Sales Rep Card of Vincona Pty. Ltd. from 1996 -97. It is interesting to be able to date the buttons. The designs are all different. I do not have any single ones in my collection.

Here are two groups of identically designed buttons in various colours. Some of them also have a pearlized coating. They make up a nice set.
