
These three little green glass buttons are of a similar colour. Two have delicately handpainted floral designs while the other one is more of a geometric pattern. The paintwork is in good order which is a bonus as many times it is well worn.

These three smallish glass buttons are in a reddish/brown type of colour which is Cranberry Glass. They have a design etched into them and filled with gold paint. I show the back with a self shank. They are the first type of this button for my collection.
This is the final glass button from Tokyo, Japan. It has blue and green paintwork also with a blackened back. There is a lot of gold lustre on the front and I think the overall effect is very pleasing. It has a metal four way box shank and measures 2 1/2 cm.
These Glass buttons were bought recently in Japan for me. They all have some gold lustre and are very well finished. They look nicer than the photo portrays. They measure 2 cm.
Here are two more Coloured Glass buttons bought in Tokyo, Japan by my friend Di.
One has a lot of gold lustre with yellow and green. The back is painted black. The larger one at 3 cm. is also yellow and green but the back has been left clear. It shows the different effect that is achieved by painting the back black. They are rich looking.
My friend Di bought these coloured glass buttons recently at the Miyuki Seedbead Co. in Tokyo, Japan. She was led to believe that they were made there.
They resemble the lacy glass buttons I have seen in button books. They are clear glass with different colours painted on them and finally a coat of black paint on the back. They also have some gold lustre on the front. One has a four way box shank, the other a loop. They measure 2 1/2cm.
This Glass Paperweight button is new to my collection and is very colourful with a white background. It has a modernistic butterfly design on it which is very effective.
These are the first Kaleidescope buttons for my collection. They are of glass with varying colours and have a metal backplate and loop shank. They are only about 1 1/4 cm in diameter.
This glass button is rather chunky and domed being in an oval shape.
It features s moulded swirly design in a pretty blue on a black base. It measures 3 1/2 cm X 2 1/2cm.
These nine buttons are of aqua clear glass with a gold painted geometric design. They are diamond shaped and tiny with a self shank.
