Here is a modern button featuring a lady in an orange dress and matching hat. It is highly domed and measures 3 1/2 cm. The photo is rather poor.

These two oval enamelled brass buttons are of the same floral design but with a different coloured border. They are rather pretty and measure approximately 2 cm X 1 cm.

Here are two lovely groups of Celluloid Back buttons all in shades of cream and brown. The metal borders are all different and very decorative. I think they make a nice display.

These three cards of buttons for La Mode are reproduction metal buttons of the period 1860 – 1919. They were made in Italy and I managed to find them in a craft shop in Bendigo several years ago. I had seen them advertised in a craft magazine and had trouble tracking them down so was thrilled to eventually find them.

Here is a set of modern enamelled brass buttons on their Susan Clarke Originals card. I bought them in a Patchwork shop in Loch many years ago. They were made in California, USA and are very delicate in style.

This metal button has a picture of a learned man in his cap and gown. I do not know who he is. It is set under clear celluloid. It measures a little under 4 cm, has a tin back and a metal loop shank.

This group of glass buttons are all of the same design but painted with various colour schemes so they look quite different. They slightly resemble a paisley pattern. They have a four way box shank.

Here is a Celluloid button probably from the 1930’s. I rather like it’s geometric design and the colours blend nicely. It is actually more of a tan colour than the photo shows. It measures a little over 3 1/2 cm.

This is an old carved wooden button with a touch of paint. It is oval and measures 4 1/2 cm X 3 1/2 cm. My friend Olwyn bought it at The Button Shop in London in 2013. It is a nice design.

Just for fun I used some scraps of old doyleys left over from some crazy patchwork to cover these three buttons. They came out quite nicely.
