Here is a tinted brass button featuring a flower ( I think it is a Chrysanthemum)
It is an open work design and might I suggest not very practical as a button. It has a loop shank and measures a little under 3 cm.

BUTTONS – TWO MATERIALS
Firstly we have a metal button with a brass paisley patterned centre.
The second one is a plastic button with a brass centre featuring a Huntsman with his gun and dogs.
METAL BUTTONS
These two white metal buttons have lovely Art Nouveau designs with leaves and scrolls. They are both just over 2 cm.
GLASS BUTTON
This button is of brown glass and moulded with the design. Three different colours have been painted on to give a good effect. It has a self shank.
GLASS BUTTONS
These quaint little clear glass buttons have tiny imitation yellow flowers embedded in them.
They are domed giving a magnified look and are lovely and bright. The shanks are glued to the back and they measure a little under 1 1/2 cm.
METAL BUTTONS
No. 1 This button is very effective with the striking Royal Blue tinted background. It is an unusual design with a combination of scrolls and lacy work. It measures 2 cm.
No. 2 To me this button appears Regal like. It is brass with blue paint around a wreath which encircles a disc of cream Celluloid. It is 2 1/2cm in diameter with a tin back and brass loop shank.
POTTERY BUTTONS

These two buttons were made in Sydney, Australia in the 1940’s.
They both are lovely and bright with a high glaze. The shanks are quite thick.
METAL PICTURE BUTTON
Here is a brass picture button with a figure and I think hunting dogs. I do not know if it represents a special person but he looks very smart with plumed hat and all. It is a little under 3 cm.
TERRACOTTA CLAY BUTTONS
These two buttons are terracotta with a peacock feather image on the front. They are very colourful and quite realistic. They are sew through buttons and measure approx. 2 1/4cm.
OLD PLASTIC BUTTONS
This group is just an odd lot of old plastic buttons of various age, designs and colour. I would love to be able to slot them into periods but I do not have the knowledge to do so.
